Posting again! What a roll on which I am!
SO… this is a piece I did for another art show that has not been cancelled. It’s the Six Seasons & a Movie art show, a tribute to Dan Harmon’s comedy Community on NBC, which is a damn funny show. I only recently started watching the show, so I really wish I had more time to absorb the show and its characters before doing some artwork based on it, but I had a deadline, dammit!
ANYWAY… the name of this painting is “Had I not already cried at the sunrise this morning, I would be weeping right now.” It is a quote from the one of the professors in this drawing that is probably the hardest to guess because I put in extra elements in this piece that have nothing to do with the show but do have some to do with his “Seize the Day” personal motto. I guess. Whatever. I’m not entirely sure why I made him ride a turtle. It was all I could think of at the time.
WELL… the art show is happening and there’s going to be a TON of awesome artists participating and at the show opening, which is THIS SATURDAY. Here’s a link to info about Saturday’s programming. You can find even more info on the rest of that blog. They have a Facebook page and everything!
PS… this painting is on Arches cold press watercolor paper which is just DIVINE, let me tell you.
